St. Patrick’s Cathedral

A project of immense emotional and architectural significance, we served as the Principal Architects for the renovation and restoration of this 150+ year-old Cathedral. The scope involved a comprehensive restoration of both the exterior and interior, with a meticulous focus on preserving the structure’s historic character and authenticity. The restoration process ranged from re-plastering the façade using original techniques and carefully restoring fenestration details, to recreating intricate interior mouldings and cornices using archival references and historical imagery. Existing timber doors and windows, which had deteriorated over time due to termite damage, were sensitively replaced. Newly introduced stained-glass panels and intricately carved wooden doors featuring Biblical themes played a key role in restoring the Cathedral’s original grandeur, ensuring its architectural and spiritual legacy continues for future generations.
